European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Telecom company KPN (the former state monopoly) announced on 5 February 2008 that it will cut another 2000 jobs in the coming three years. These come on top of the loss of 2500 jobs announced earlier. The measures will mainly hit employees involved in the fixed telecom network of KPN. Forced dismissals are not ruled out.
