Description

Transcom Worldwide, one of the main global providers of customer relationship management and credit management services, is to create 630 new jobs at its site in Bari by the end of 2010. Transcom Worldwide has a call centre in Bari that operates for several telecommunication companies and it currently employs 520 employees. The creation of the new jobs comes as a result of a negotiated local plan reached by the company, the national and the local authorities. The plan provides a public-private partnership in order to invest resources to build a new contact centre. The main customer of the new structure should be the telecommunication company Tele2. A small number of the new employees (34 out of 630) will be hired with an open-ended contract, while the most part of the workers will be engaged with part-time and fixed-term contracts. At the end of 2010, Transcom Worldwide should have a total workforce of around 1,150 units at its site in Bari.

The trade unions expressed their full satisfaction concerning the company’s announcement. Transcom Worldwide is a global provider of customer relationship management and credit management solutions. It has 72 sites and around 16,200 employees delivering services from 29 countries.
