Description
Advance notice of dismissal has been given to 124 employees of the Swedish company NOTE which manufactures electronic products and offers development, production and after sales services. Negotiations with the trade unions are currently taking place on the units in Norrtälje and Skellefteå, coming to an end in May. In Lund and Skänninge the negotiations have been completed, resulting in the expected cuts. NOTE established new units in China and Poland in autumn 2007 and it now intends to move labour intensive production from Sweden to these new units. Development and strategic production will be kept in Sweden. The purposes of these measures are to increase profitability and reduce the risks in the company.
