Description
The manufacturer of cold storage equipment, Helkama Forste, will close its Forssa factory by the end of summer 2008. A total of 151 employees will lose their jobs. At the same time Helkama Forste will close down all manufacturing of cold storage equipment in Finland.
Helkama Forste expanded into international markets in 1990 opening a factory in Tata, Hungary. In 1997 a factory was opened in Vyborg, Russia. The manufacturing of cold storage equipment will continue in these factories in Hungary and Russia.
The Helkama Forste head office and development will remain in Forssa, Finland, employing total of 18 employees.
