Lotos Asfalt, a member of the Lotos group that manufactures fuel, lubricants, asphalt, and car care products, has announced that it is to create 105 new jobs with the development of a new plant in Jasło in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Area*. PLN 32 million will be invested in the construction of a tarred paper factory in the new site.
A Special Economic Area is a demarcated area within which companies may pursue business activity on preferential terms (for instance in terms of partial income tax exemptions or exemptions from the real estate tax). There are fifteen such special economic areas in Poland.
