Description
Metla, the Finnish Forestry Research Institute, has announced that it is to cut between 75 and 154 jobs by 2011. The organization will close its sites in Kolari, Kannus and Punkaharju, and at least 75 job losses will be implemented at these locations. 125 are employed at the sites. The job reductions are a result of a productivity programme outlined by the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Metla employs 700 in Finland.
