Description
Imperial Tobacco Slovakia, a manufacturer of tobacco and a subsidiary of the British Imperial Tobacco Group, has announced that it is to cut 100 jobs at its Smolnik site by the end of December 2007. 160 are currently employed at the Smolnik plant. Management at the subsidiary firm have stated that the job losses are due to the loss of a contract with Lidl, the multi-national discount retail group.
