Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Daidong, a Japanese-Korean firm, is to create 100 new jobs in Slovakia with the development of a new site at Nitra. The new plant will involve an investment of around 350 million SKK, and will produce plastic frames for the LCD televisions that are produced in the region by the electronics multinational Sony. Production and employment at the new site is due to commence in June 2008. The Slovak Minister of the Economy has also stated that there may be a chance that Daidong will become eligible for state aid for the investment.
