Description

Rolls-Royce announced on October 2007 the creation of 100 new jobs through the establishment of a new testing unit for gas turbine components in Brandenburg in 2008 (instead of Derby, UK). This business expansion will involve an investment of EUR 43 million. Rolls Royce received public subsidies from the federal state of Brandenburg which are said to be higher than those offered for by British competitors. Rolls Royce already runs two sites in Germany employing a workforce of 2900. As of October 2007, there is no information on when employment at the new site will commence and when the 100 new jobs will be created by.
