Description
Stocko Contact, a manufacturer of electronic mechanical components and a subsidiary of the group Wieland, is to close its site in Malmédy with the loss of 135 jobs. The work carried out at the Malmédy site will be 'offshored' to sites in Germany and Czech Republic. Management at Stocko Contact have attributed the decision to high raw material costs and the subsequent need to save money.
