The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
AT&T, an American firm that operate in the telecommunications sector, has announced that it is to create 300 new jobs in Bratislava with the opening of a new office in the city. The new office will be opened by the end of September 2007. AT&T has operated in Slovakia since 2002, and employs 650 in Bratislava and Kosice. The expansion also comes at a time when T-Systems, a competing German firm based in Košice, are planning an expansion of their business.

According to information dated September 19th 2007, the number of new jobs to be created at the new site will be 350. The opening of the new site will also be deferred until the end of 2008.
