KS Stivideermise, a firm that offers stevedoring services, has announced its bankruptcy and the subsequent redundancies of the 113 employed at its site in Tallinn. The bankruptcy comes as a result of a loss of a key customer at the Port of Paljassaare. The customer’s decision to stop using KS Stivideermise’s services was based on a loss of trade with Russian firms in recent months. KS Stivideermise announced its bankruptcy in July 2007. On August 13th 2007, Harju County Court confirmed both the bankruptcy and the job losses.
