European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Calsonic Kansei, the Japanese car parts manufacturer, is to create 1000 new jobs in Ploiesti with the development of a new site. Representatives of the firm have stated that the plant will become operational by the end of 2007. The new plant will involve an investment of around 120 million EUR, and will be based at an industrial park in Ploiesti.
