Description

Prague City Traffic Company, an organization that operates public transport in Prague, is to cut 800 jobs before the end of 2008. The job cuts are part of a restructuring operation that aims to save 350 million CZK a year. The company has recently been affected by rising transport costs in Prague and subsequently needs to cut costs. The majority of redundancies are likely to affect staff in office functions. The number of drivers employed by the organization may even increase. Prague City Traffic Company employs 12,600.
