Description
PLIVA-Lachema, a Czech firm specializing in the production of pharmaceutical products, is to create 130 new jobs through the expansion of its Brno plant. The expansion follows the acquisition of the firm by Barr Pharmaceuticals, a U.S. group. The expansion of the Brno site will involve an investment of 500 million CZK and the development of a new line for the production of cytostatic injections for chemotherapy. The new investment will require employees with high levels of educational attainment, and the new jobs are expected to be created by August 2009.
