Description
Statens Järnvägar (SJ), a Swedish public railway company, plans to have created 1000 new positions across Sweden between May 2007 and June 2008. The firm made the announcement on August 29th 2007, and also stated that the new employees will primarily be engineers and train hosts. The decision to create the new jobs is attributable to the firm's excellent recent financial results. The increased profits are due to a general increase in rail travel amongst the population and also an increase in first-class passengers.
