European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sheraton Hotels Group, a firm that operates hotels, is to create 200 new jobs in Athlone. The firm will invest 45 million EUR in the development of a new four-star hotel that will be based at the site of the Athlone Town Centre. The Athlone Town Centre is a large-scale Irish retail development that is due to open in October 2007 and will be comprised of 50 retail outlets and 145 residential units. It has been estimated that the centre will create employment for 1000.
