Description

Homeloan Management Ltd (HML), a mortgage administration firm, is to create 425 new jobs as part of a major expansion in Glasgow. A spokesman for the firm said that the new staff would help meet increasing demands for the company’s services. The company, which is part of the Skipton Building Society group, already employs 75 people in Glasgow. It will be relocating to the city's Skypark business complex to accommodate the expansion.

HML's plans have been supported by the Scottish government with an offer of up to 1.6 million GBP in Regional Selective Assistance. Enterprise Minister Jim Mather said: 'HML's decision to invest in Glasgow confirms Scotland's status as a first class location with skilled and motivated people.'

HML handles assets of £48bn for more than 40 clients, and currently employs about 1,800 people in the UK and Ireland.
