Description

120 job losses have been announced at light alloy wheel manufacturer BBS after the firm were taken over by Belgian group Punch International NV. The acquisition followed BBS’ application for insolvency in February 2007. Punch International has stated that 480 of the 600 employees at BBS’ plant will remain in their jobs, and has also stated that the 120 without jobs will be moved to a transfer company offering training opportunities and will be given assistance in job searches for six months. BBS has also been renamed to BBS International GmbH.
