Description

Famur, a group that operates two iron casting plants in Åšrem, is to make 310 redundant. 170 redundancies are to be made at a plant where 1,422 are employed, and 140 are to be made at a second plant where 249 are employed. As of August 2nd 2007, 40 employees have been dismissed from the first and larger plant. Local unions expect the redundancy process to continue over a five month period.
