The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 10 July 2007 the low-cost Spanish airline Vueling announced its plans to open a new hub in Seville. Three new Airbus A320 will be set in Seville’s San Pablo Airport and 100 new employees with residence in Seville will work as ground and air staff. The company foresees to transport one million passengers and to become the main airline in number of passengers in Seville’s airport by mid 2008. The new routes will link Seville with Venice, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan and Bilbao.
