Description
Bakalland, Poland’s largest retail distributor of dried fruit and nut mixes, is planning to purchase new technological equipment in order to upgrade its two sorting and packing facilities in Janów Podlaski and Osina, Bełchatów. Activation of the new machines will lead to job losses totalling 250, to be achieved by mid-2008, in order to reduce costs. Since the beginning of 2007, Bakalland has already shed 130 jobs, going from a workforce of 480 to 350.
