European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
A series of mass dismissals are planned in the labour and social affairs branches of the Slovakian public sector. In total, 1,460 civil servants are to be dismissed from the central and regional functions of this part of the public sector up until the end of 2007. These dismissals are being implemented in line with the decision of the Government to reduce the total number of civil servants in the country by 20%.
