European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Kaufland has opened a second hypermarket in Ruse. The investment has amounted to around 10 million BGN and 200 new jobs have been created. Ruse is the second town in Bulgaria after Sofia where the company has opened a second shop. The decision was taken after a market analysis which showed a significant number of costumers from Romania doing their daily shopping in Ruse. Kaufland has ten shops in most of the largest Bulgarian towns and it is planning to open three new in Pernik, Montana and Pleven in the summer of 2007.
