European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
After 39 years of activity, Companhia de cartões do Cavado, a manufacturer of special compact cards for several uses, announced the closure of its factory in Braga on 21 of June. The reason given for the closure is the high level of debts the company has incurred in and the impossibility of having access to external capital to make the activity feasible. The closure will affect 103 workers.
