Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Inoxcrom, the Spanish manufacturer of office material is planning to launch a job reduction plan (Expediente de Regulacion de Empleo in Spanish, ERE) on 27 June 2007 which will affect approximately 125 employees, 28% of its workforce in Spain. However these measures may not prevent the closure of the factory in Barcelona, affected by the competition from new low-cost producers. As an additional precautionary measure, a minority shareholder will propose to sell the plant’s plot.
