Description
West Pharmaceutical Services, a Cornish company which makes medical components, has announced up to 90 employees will be made redundant. The firm employs 380 in St Austell and said the cuts need to be made because a customer has pulled out of an order and has taken their business elsewhere. The exact number of job losses from the St Austell branch will not be confirmed until the end of a 30 day consultation, however the depot will not close down. A support programme has been set up to support employees.
