Description

The Stuttgart-based Dekra AG provides a wide ranging portfolio of services that span the testing of vehicles and plants, environmental audits, consultancy, training and further training, building work monitoring and certifying services. In 2006, the group created 1,300 new jobs and, by the end of the year, employed an international workforce of 16,240. The company announced its plans to create another 1,500 jobs in 2007. Most of these jobs will be in the business unit 'Personnel' (currently employing an international workforce of 4,982), which provides outplacement and training services. No information was given regarding the countries where new jobs will be located.

Dekra plans to expand its European operations in the monitoring and certifying market. No figures were given, how many jobs will be created in this business unit.
