Description
The American manufacturer of tractor and other agriculture equipment John Deere (47,000 employees worldwide) announced on 22 May 2007 that it will close down its plant in Enschede. Some 120 employees will lose their jobs. Furthermore the company announced that a social plan is going to be drafted. Due to a reorganisation the company already cut 32 jobs in Enschede last year. Further details of the reorganisation are not yet determined.
