Description

Dairy producer Campina announced on 9 May 2007 the closure of its factory in Heiloo. Production will be relocated to Rotterdam, Maasland and Eindhoven. The reason given by the company is the decreasing consumption of ordinary yoghurt, buttermilk and milk and the increasing competition in this sector. The closure will result in the loss of 178 jobs in 2008. The company currently employs a total of 6,811 people worldwide.
