European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Following the tragic burning of a coal mine in Langreo (Asturias), Hulleras del Norte (Hunosa), the public coal mining company, has announced plans to request an Employment Restructuring Programme (Expediente de Regulacion de Empleo in Spanish) to close down the mine. The measure will affect 480 miners.
