Mäser, the company specialised in tableware solutions and wholesale of glassware and china, is planning to cancel its retail activities which have involved losses for some years. The company currently runs two retail sales shops: one in Bregenz, which will be closed by the end of August 2007, and another in Dornbirn, which will be closed by 2008. The company will focus its activities on product development and wholesale instead. As a consequence of the restructuring, 30 out of about 250 employees stand to lose their jobs.
