Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ThyssenKrupp Presta France, the French division of the German automotive equipment manufacturer, announced on 2 April 2007 that it is to create 200 jobs between April 2007 and June 2008 in the Moselle department. It will invest 22 million Euros in installing five new assembly lines and a logistics centre. 100 of the new jobs are ready to be filled before the end of 2007. The company has renewed existing contracts and has finalised new deals with Citroën, Renault and Porsche. As a result of this, ThyssenKrupp Presta France is expecting production to increase by 20% over the next three years, reaching 36,000 components a day.
