Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
A new distribution centre was established by Johnson & Johnson, a well-known US company specialised in medical and pharmaceutical products.
Johnson & Johnson invested 33 million euro in this new centre intended to provide more than 2500 orders to hospitals and medical centres all over Europe. The creation of this new distribution site has already brought 100 new jobs in the region of Hainaut; region of the south west of Belgium and it will create throughout the year 80 to 100 other new jobs. The management announced during the founding party that the firm intends to extend in a few years the logistics activities of the group in this new centre.
Johnson & Johnson employs around 114000 people in 57 countries including more than 5000 workers in Belgium.
