European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Banking group SNS Reaal announced on 14 March 2007 that 200 jobs will be cut until the end of 2007 due to automation of the mortgage business. The SNS Reaal spokesperson also announced that in the future part of the administration activities will, in all likelihood, be outsourced. At present, about one in five of the 5,600 employees are working in such back office activities. In 2006, SNS Reaal already outsourced 20 jobs to Ordina, a major ICT-company.
