Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Montupet, a French firm engaged with the production of automotive parts, plans to employ 180 additional workers in 2008 for its new facility in Ruse, where it has already employed 80 workers in 2007. Within the next three years the total staff of the company is expected to reach 600. Montupet was awarded by the Invest Bulgaria Agency as an Investor of the Year for 2007.
Ruse is the first of Montupet’s outlets in Eastern Europe (other factories are based in France, Spain, Canada, Northern Ireland and Mexico with a total of 3,700 workers).
