Description

Gorenje Tiki is a Slovenian manufacturer of electrical boilers with a capacity of less than 500 litres. In August 2006 the company decided to set up a production facility in Stara Pazova in Serbia. The main reason for expanding manufacturing in Serbia instead of in Slovenia is the limited physical space at the current facilities in Ljubljana. Another reason is that the investment in Serbia will strengthen Gorenje Tiki's position in the markets of South Eastern Europe. The company bought an existing building in Serbia in 2006, organised production and employed 155 employees, which will produce half a million of boilers annually. Gorenje Tiki plans to further expand production and employment in the next two years. Manufacturing and employment at the existing location in Ljubljana will not be reduced.
