Description
Dauer D is the manufacturer of power-driven hand tools. During the Soviet era and the first years of Latvia's independence, the company employed more than 2,500 employees. After several changes of ownership during the past 15 years the company reduced its manufacturing and its workforce down to 126 employees by the end of 2006. After one more change of ownership, the decision to stop the production was made. The site will be transformed into a business park, and all 126 employees will be dismissed.
