The copper component producer Luvata is going to cut 70 jobs in Finspång and 30 in Västerås as a result of lower demand and the dollar exchange rate. 'The plan can be partly achieved through pension schemes. Our goal is to start the implementation as soon as possible', said Thomas Carlsson, local director at Finspång. According to the trade union, the first lay-offs could be announced in four months at the earliest.
