Ikea Romania, a company of the Swedish group Ikea, announced an investment of EUR 25 million in order to open in March-April 2007 the first store in Romania, located in Bucharest- Baneasa area (Region Bucharest). In total, some 420 people will work in the new facility. At present, the company employs already 180 workers there. In August 2006 the Ikea group had 237 stores in 34 countries, specialised in distribution of furniture and household articles.
