Description
The German cosmetic giant, Schwarzkopf and Henkel, has recently announced the closure of one of its Spanish plant situated in La Toja, Coruna. This should mean the direct dismissal for all 152 employees in 2007. This closure has come as a surprise to both employees and outside observers as the Spanish plant worked well in the last few years and results were at its maximum. The only comments made by the company revealed that this action was taken in an attempt to rationalise production of the cosmetic department. As a result the production capacity of the Spanish site will now be redistributed between the German and the Slovak sites.
