Alcoa, the US multinational aluminium manufacturer, announced on 22/11/2006 a staff reduction of 6700 employees worldwide to take place in 2007. In Europe, the company will close its facilities in Seixal (Portugal) and Swansea (UK) with the loss of 700 jobs.
