European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Santana Motors, a manufacturer of jeeps, light trains and auto-generator components, announced on 11 January 2007 that it will merge with Sevillana Iturri to become Iturri Santana. As a result of the merger, the new group is going to create further motor manufacturing facilities in order to expand its business. A new plant is to open in La Carolina, where emergency vehicles are going to be manufactured. It plans to start employing 50 people in the first year, to then expand to 150 by the third year.
