Description
Maxtor, which was recently taken over by Seagate, plans to cut 100 jobs by February 2007. The company, which manufactures computer hard drives, has commenced a redundancy programme, which will see job numbers falling from 139 to 33.
Maxtor was taken over last May by storage giant Seagate, which then revealed that it planned to lose 50% of Maxtor's current global workforce, which numbers 12,000, under a restructuring plan.
