Description
The loss of hundreds of jobs at a manufacturing plant in Oxfordshire is expected to be officially announced.
German-based Hella Manufacturing Ltd, which produces car lights, announced plans to close the Banbury factory, with the loss of 450 jobs in September.
A 90-day employee consultation period has now ended and the firm plans to relocate its operation to eastern Europe in the new year.
Hella Manufacturing Ltd, which supplies Honda, Jaguar and Nissan, has said it is making the UK cuts as it responds to falling automotive retail prices and increases in both energy and material costs.
