Description

On 7 December 2006 Faurecia, a French automotive equipments producer, announced it would launch the production of seat frames in its third assembly shop located in industrial zone of the city Písek at the beginning of 2007. The company already started the production in two assembly rooms focusing on exhaust systems and plastic interior parts. In full production, at least 1,000 people were expected to be employed there. On 26 November 2007 the firm announced the official opening of its new manufacturing site and the intention to employ another 500 people by the end of 2008. As of November 2007, the company employs 1,050 workers in three assembly shops. Following the expected rapid rise of the production, a further 500 people are to be employed by 2011. This will mean a total job creation of 2,050 jobs.
