Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
By the end of September 2007, the Siemens Group in the Czech Republic will have employed more than 1,500 new people. Currently, there are almost 16,000 employees working for Siemens in the Czech Republic. The expansion of staff will affect most of the production facilities in the country. Siemens resumed its subsidiary in the Czech Republic in 1990. In the fiscal year 2005/2006, the Siemens Czech Republic reported turnover of almost CZK 58.6 billion. The key segments of Siemens' activities in the Czech Republic include Automation and Control, Transportation, Energy, Information and Communication, Lighting and Healthcare.
