European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Alro Slatina, holder of the controlling stake in Alum Tulcea, will invest USD 50 million in retooling the alumina refinery. It was announced by Gheorghe Dobra, general manager of the Alro Slatina.
During the retooling works, which will start in May next year, only 400 workers out of current 1,290 will be employed; the rest of them are to be offered voluntary redundancy. The company's management is also considering a temporary unemployment option for them.
