Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
According to the provisions of the privatisation contract of Distrigaz Sud, published on-line by Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the number of employees will decrease by 1,300 people by the beginning of 2009.
At present, the company has 11,100 employees. This number will decrease to 10,800 in 2007, 10,300 in 2008 and 9,800 in 2009.
The progressive decrease of employees starting in 2006 is a result of technological transfer from Gaz de France, the major stakeholder of the company.
