Professor Alexander Chirkov, one of Bulgaria's most renowned heart surgeons, and Mr Hristo Baruckchiev are the owners of a hospital which is to be built in Pomorie, a town by the Black sea. The new hospital will be mainly aimed at patients from Southern and Central Bulgaria and will offer medical services such as general diagnosis, heart surgery, gastroenterology, surgery, plastic surgery, etc. About 20 million euro will be invested in the hospital, whose facilities will extend over 8,000 square meters with direct access to the beach. The hospital is expected to create some 250 new jobs. In the vicinity of the hospital, a medical and recreational centre with hotels and swimming pools will be built by firm ROLA.
